THE VOICE OF GOD

The voice of God: you can feel it (sense it) but it is not feeling;

You can hear it, but it is not audible; and it makes sense after you are able to obey it.

It is like the wind, but it does not blow: it just delivers a message and you should be more aware of it than the way it came;

It says incredible things and it still makes sense after obedience alone; John 3:8

It is pure and leads out of sin: it means to achieve something in you: so, obey it as naturally as you can. Psalm 12:6 (Russian,11:7)

It is like a butterfly, but it does not fly for it is everywhere;

It is never pleasant, but it is wonderful;

It does not say what you thought it ought to say, only what it must say or as you ought to think it is.

It does not please for it loves the Author of it and means to lead as one understands and loves on;

It does not hurt but it cuts deeply and the wounds of it heal by prompt obedience alone.

Obedience to it is like oil-salve to that deep wound and there is no other remedy to its healing but obedience.

If you cannot discern it, don’t try to discern it, try becoming a sheep; John 10:3-5

(Instead of trying to figure it out, try having in you a sheep’s heart;

The Lord says a sheep hears it, not someone who fusses in it).

A sheep is innocent, so you need to have confessed all your many sins one by one and attain to innocence and cleanness.

A sheep does not think to obey, it moves while that voice is talking;

Sheep do not reason when it is that voice, it does not reason when it is not the Voice:

If it is their God speaking it moves one way, when not it goes the other instinctively;

If you fight in yourself because of it, you are either someone who heard the voice of God and don’t like it that way, or one who does not share in what it says;

Or, it is the voice of a stranger and you, as a sheep, like what it says still.
